1. List down

List down everything you can do to improve your life. These could be small or big changes like a morning walk every day, reading, having good sleep, etc. Make a list of everything on paper or you can also use a mobile application. Now all you have to do is installing these small changes in your daily life.

2. Read Books

Reading is the best way to gaining knowledge in a small span of time. You can travel the whole world by seating in a chair and holding a book in hand. Books are the best resources to learn about the mistake your role model had done and not to repeat the same mistake on your journey to a successful life. Reading is also a kind of meditation that will calm you.

3. Good night sleep

Good sleep is necessary for maintaining good health and a sound brain. In research, it was found that the quality of your sleep directly affects your mental and physical health. In my days of struggle, I used to do work till mornings but after some time I realized that it is hampering my health and also affecting my productivity. (As in an Indian family it is difficult to sleep in the daytime.)

4. Meditation

In my 20s I have only one fear that what will I do if I am not able to be successful. I don’t have plan B. Due to this tension, I faced difficulties in sleeping and negative thoughts are pushing me into darkness. At that point in time, one of my Yoga practitioner friends advised me to do meditation and that was one of the best pieces of advice I got from someone. Meditation is the best way to calm your mind, improve focus, and increase productivity. I will advise you to invest 20 minutes of your valuable day in meditation. 10 Minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening.

5. Exercise

Stretch your body. To get the benefits of exercising you don’t have to spend hours in the gym research proves that even 30 minutes of exercise a day can make a really big difference. Some health benefits of exercising are:-

  • Help you control your weight.
  • Good for your heart.
  • Keeps you away from the doctor.
  • Help your body manage blood sugar.
  • Improve your mental and physical health.
  • good for your mind.
  • Improve your sexual health

If you want to enjoy all these benefits you just have to spend 30 minutes a day stretch your body.

6. Love what you do

Your job defines you and Working in a job you view as meaningless can be emotionally draining no matter how much you get in your pocket. Life is too short to spend doing things you don’t love. If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life. You will spend 30 – 40 years of your life doing work and if you do work you don’t love then what is good in living such a life. When you do what you love you will never feel stressed or tired. Once a wise man said Don’t aim for success if you want it, just do what you love and believe in, and success will come naturally.

7. Healthy relationship is must

A healthy relationship means that both you and your partner talk openly about problems, value each other’s opinions, trust each other, are honest with each other, you make decisions together. If your relationship is like this then it’s fine but if you fight every time a problem arises, behave disrespectfully, don’t trust, and lie to each other then you need to quit the relationship if you really want to improve the quality of your life. A bad relationship will make you feel more alone than when you were single.

8. Appreciate what you have

Appreciate what you have got because the life you are leaving is a dream life for someone. Thank god and yourself if you have a warm place to live and fresh food on the table. The most common step to improve quality of life is being grateful for what you have got.

9. Say no to toxic people

Toxic people drain your energy and bring negativity to your life. Toxic people spread negativity, criticize you all the time, waste your time, play the victim, are self-centered, and those who keep disappointing you So delete all these toxic people from your contacts and life. Make distance from these kinds of people if you want to improve your life.

10. Make Time for Leisure

Do things that make you happy and what you always want to do. When I start blogging as a hobby at that point in time I was working in a hotel as a service executive in 12 hour shifts but I managed to do what I love. No matter how exhausted or stressed I am, I always managed to do blogging and read books. Doing these two things allow me to relax and have some fun. Research shows that engaging in a leisure activity not only lowers your stress levels and improves your mood, but also enhances your problem-solving skills.

11. Enjoy Yourself

Don’t take life too seriously because the best way to improve the quality of your life is to enjoy your own company. Take yourself to dinner, go for a movie, surprise yourself with gifts. You cannot enjoy others until you enjoy yourself because you cannot give to others what you do not have. So be happy whenever you can manage it.

12. Get Out in Nature

Nature heals your soul. Nature has a calming effect, spending even a few minutes in nature can help you with your stress and depression. Whenever I feel lost I come out in nature and I got the solution to all my problems and I feel better.
